1st number-(N) nitorgen
2nd number -(P) Phosphorus
3rd number (K) Potassium
What plants like what
Leafy plants will like Nitrogen
Fruiting plants will like Phosphorus
Root plants will like Potassium
Where to find more fertilizer
Nitrogen- blood meal, fish meal, grass clippings
phosphorus- bone meal, rock phosphate
Potassium- kelp meal, granite dust, wood ash
Legumes (Beans and Peas) Put Nitrogen back into the soil
Roses
Puree banana peels and fertilize
To rescue dying plants
1L water
2tbs epson salts
2tbs sugar
1tbs fish emulation
Mix together and water the plants. Wait a week and do it again.
Egg Fertilizer
when plating a plant out into the garden (Or even a pot) Dig a hole deeper than needed, place an uncracked raw egg at the bottom of the hole and cover with some soil, place your plant into the hole and cover. As the egg decomposes it will serve as fertilizer for you plants
